Pilliga Reserve
Sandy road in the Pilliga Reserve Previous photograph Thumbnails Next photograph
Roads inside the Pilliga Reserve are mostly graded sand like this one running to the "Sculptures in the Scrub" site at Dandry Gorge. In dry weather driving is easy but roads soften quickly in rain and become impassable. The numerous creek crossings have steep approaches, often with rutted and eroded creek beds at the bottom, making some crossings a bit of a challenge.
