Woodland and plateau Previous photograph Thumbnails Next photograph
Open woodland country in Nitmiluk National Park adjacent to the sandstone plateau containing Katherine Gorge. The brown water near the cruise boat is 17-Mile Creek entering Katherine River, the brown colouring is the sand on the bottom of this shallow creek. 17-Mile Creek carries that name because it is 17 miles from the original settlement at Knotts Crossing.
